Hello Again

Hi, it's me again.  I haven't posted anything in quite a while because I have been busy.  I started college back in August and all that I have left for this semester is finals.  In the future I will try to post more but no promises.  Zach

Book Review: The Hunger Games

Title: The Hunger Games
Author: Suzanne Collins
Type: Fiction
Year: 2008
Pages: 374
Series Name: The Hunger Games Trilogy
Number In Series: 1

Summary:
In the ruins of North America there now lies the nation of Panem.  Even though the Capitol is beautiful it is harsh and cruel by demanding that each of the twelve districts that surround it send one boy and one girl between twelve and eighteen years old to compete in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.  Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the Games.  However, survival is second nature to her so she soon becomes a contender, but before she can win she will have to start making choices that weight survival against humanity and life against love.

Personal Feelings:
I really enjoyed this book.  The movie is coming out so I thought that I would read the book to see what it was all about.  I didn't think that I would like it that much but I found myself staying up late to read it.

Bonsai Tree

The other day I bought me a bonsai tree.  I'm so happy. I keep thinking about what Hazuki and Haiji said in an episode of Moon Phase.  And I quote, "Bonsai, bonsai, bonsai".  Or something similar to that.  I think that what they were saying translates along the line of hooray, hooray, hooray.

Anime Review: Burst Angel

Name: Burst Angel
Number of Episodes: 24

Summary:
Criminal activity is on the rise.  Due to this, citizens of Japan can now legally possess firearms to protect themselves.  A new police force has been established as well.  The Recently Armed Police of Tokyo (RAPT) methods are to exterminate the criminals rather than arrest them.   In all of this there is an organization named Bailan that sends out its mercenary team to investigate various problems.  These problems range from glowing, green brains to mutated humans to mysterious cybots (giant robots that are controlled by a pilot).

Anime Review: Fooly Cooly

Name: Fooly Cooly
Number of Episodes: 6

Summary:
Naota Nandaba is just minding his own business when he is suddenly hit by a vespa, given mouth to mouth resuscitation, then hit over the head with an electric guitar.  The culprit is Haruko Haruhara.  She is an extraterrestrial investigator for the Galatic Space Police Brotherhood.  By hitting Naota over the head with her guitar she opens a portal through which various robots and objects come through.  All out of his head.  The resulting mayhem is fast paced.  By the end of the first episode I was confused because everything happened like snap, snap, snap.  You should probably be in at least your mid-teens before you watch this series because of some of its sexual related content.  Which isn't surprising because fooly cooly is a Japanese slang term for groping a woman.

Cloning Pokemon (YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Okay, I'm really excited about this.  For all of you who have the old Crystal version Pokemon game there is a way for you to clone Pokemon and all you need is the game and one gameboy.  I like this because in the games you have to choose one of three starter Pokemon and you can only get the other two if you trade from another game and I can never trade with anybody.  With this cheat you don't have to.  That makes me sooooooooooooo happy!!!  I've been playing the games for at least ten years I think and you don't know how awesome it is to be able to get all three starter Pokemon in one game.  You can also clone legendaries.  If you want multiples of an item (like a master ball) just attach it to a Pokemon and clone it.  Oh yeah,  the cheat said not to clone a single Pokemon three or more times because it might glitch.

CLONE POKEMON
1. Get the Pokemon that you want to clone

2. Save in front of a PC (make sure you change to an empty box first)

3. Deposit the Pokemon you want to clone into an empty box

4. Change to another empty box

5. When it brings up SAVING, DON'T TURN OFF THE POWER. turn off the power about half a second after POWER.

6. Turn power back on

7. You should now have that Pokemon in your party and in your box

GET ALL THREE STARTERS
1. Star new game

2. Save in front of the three pokeballs

3. Choose one then continue game until you get the pokeballs to catch Pokemon (IMPORTANT!  DO NOT SAVE AT ANYTIME)

4. Catch one Pokemon

5. Go to a PC and preform the cloning glitch on the starter Pokemon (don't change to an empty box) (the save in front of the pokeballs will count as the save in front of the PC)

6. You should end up in front of the three pokeballs again.

7. Repeat until you have all the starter Pokemon

Book Review: A Call to Arms

Title: A Call to Arms
Author: Alan Dean Foster
Type: Sci-fi
Year: 1991
Pages: 341
Series Name: The Damned Trilogy
Number In Series: One

Summary:
War has waged for a thousand years. The Amplitures against the Weave.  With their Purpose the Amplitures have set out to "unite" every being in the universe into a single community.  The Weave, a union of different alien races,  is intent on resisting them.  With only one race of the union capable of fighting they are not making any progress so they send out a ship in search of new allies.  In that search they found Humans.  As it turned out the Humans were excellent fighters so the Weave instantly started to recruit in small numbers.  Then it happened, the Ampliture discovered Earth.

Personal Feelings:
I really enjoyed this book.  I got it for 25 cents, but I almost didn't get it.  I'm glad that I did get it though.  I like how Alan Dean Foster portrays humans in this book.  We are like the ultimate warriors.

Stupidest Criminal

Last night on the Jay Leno show he was doing his highlight things.  One of them was the stupidest criminal ever.  This cashier at a gas station put tape over the surveillance camera, robbed the the place, removed the tape, then called 911 to report a robbery.  There was only one hitch though.  He used clear tap. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Funny

Today I was driving around town.  While I was stopped at some railrode tracks there was a car full of ganster looking people in the car in front of me.  You could hear their music and the car was shakeing because they were danceing.  Well. I was wearing my Ozy Osborn glasses (circle ones) and one of the guys looked back and gave me the peace sign.  That was pretty funny.

Anime Review: Moon Phase

Title: Moon Phase
Number of Episodes: 26

Summary:
Hazuki is a young vampire girl who is stuck in a German castle until Kouhei rescues her.  Kouhei is a paranormal photographer, the only problem is that he can't see spirits.  After Kouhei rescues Hazuki they go to his home in Japan where they live together while they have some adventures.  Throughout the series you think that something might happen between the two but nothing ever does.  Pots and pans (and even logs) fall the the sky/ceiling and hit people in the head for no reason or as a "duh" expression.  The series has 26 episodes.  The 26th is just an encore episode that they made to be funny.  In that episode you can tell stuff is fake (like seagulls suspended from strings and a sun that looks like it was drawn by a first grader).    A big giveaway is that the house is floating in the middle of the ocean.

TV Show Review: The River

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just watched the new TV show The River last night.  It was awsome.  It gave me goosebumps and chills.  It's about this film crew plus some other people who go into the Amazon to film the search for a missing explorer (or something similar).  Along the way one of them gets possesed by a spirit (in the form of a dragonfly) and find a creepy tree full of dolls.  Creepy Part: the dolls heads move and the eyes open.  Creepy Part 2: A camera man is filming a doll hanging from a branch or vine and is daring the spirits to open the dolls eyes.  What he didn't know is that they/she had already opened the eyes of the doll behind him and was watching him.

The Super Bowl

Hello people.  I bet that many of you watched the Super Bowl last night.  I was kind of disappointed because there weren't that many funny commercials.  Usually nearly every single on is funny.  There were hardly any this year.  They didn't even have the contest where they chose the best Super Bowl commercial before the Super Bowl.  If they did the didn't show it on local TV stations.  But we get ABC, NBC, and FOX so I wonder how come if they did do it that we didn't see it.  Oh well.

Super Bowl/funny and interesting things

I guess the Super Bowl is tomarrow.  I'm not really interested in the sports part of it.  I just like watching the comercials.  I believe that there are a lot of people who do the same.  Madona is also doing the half-time show.  Her singing is okay, but I don't really like her.  The Black Eyed Peas preformed last year.  They were okay.  I believe that they had the Who a couple years ago.  I enjoy listening to their songs.  Okay, now here are some funny and interesting things that I have found out.  On the way into town there is a sign that says Road Unsafe When Under Water.  Somebody had taken spraypaint and painted Duh! on the sign.  Even though I believe that it's against the law to do that you have to admit that it is kind of funny :).  Also, I have this song where the singer says "that if the moonshine doesn't kill him he'll live till he dies".  That's kind of obvious.  And here is an interesting fact.  I read in an economics book that someone had calculated that if you could hand out a $20 bill every second of every day that it would take about 5,250 years to reach $3 trillion (which also happened to be the cost of operating the federal government).  Now that is a long time.  That's all for now.  Until next time.

Passing Time

I found out that the Funny Sayings/despair.com is a website where you have to buy the items.  At the moment I am watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood at the library while I am waiting for the internet protection to download on my laptop.  It's taken a while.

Links

I shared a few links that you should try.  Funimation is somewhere where you can watch anime.  The Funny Sayings one is something that I didn't know just what to call it.  The website shows a picture than has words underneath.  Instead of saying helpful or nice things it says funny stuff.  They aren't exactly sayings, but I didn't know what to call them.

Fixed time

I believe that I got the time fixed.  My cousin helped me.  I'm pretty good with technology, but he knows more about blogs than I do.  I am grateful for his help.

News

Hey, I just heard an interesting fact from my mom.  She said that she had seen a girl on the Morning Show (a news show on in the mornings) that could say any word or sentence backwords without thinking about it.  You could give her any word or sentence and she would instantly repeat backwords.  I wish I had seen that.  Mom said that she had said Brad Pitt Live backwords.  That would be Evil Ttip Darb.  I would like to become fluent in Pig Latin myself.  Until next time.

The Time

Okay, on my last post I believe that I saw that the time I posted the it was 2:46 PM.  It was actually 4:46 PM.

First Post

Okay, hi there.  My name is Zach.  I wont be using last names.  It's just me.  I don't want a stalker to like google my full name or any body elses and find out where I/they live.  Anyway,  this is my first post on my new blog.  I will just talk about anything that interests me, talk about my views about stuff happening on the news, do reviews on books I have read and movies/shows I have watched, and sharing links to websites that I think others will find interesting.  That's all for now.  I have stuff to go do.  Until next time.
